Obituary-John Donathen Bittick

              JOHN D. BITTICK
          BURIED WEDNESDAY

     John D. Bittick, resident of the 
Geary community for 34 years, pas-
sed away at the home of his daugh-
ter, Delia, early Tuesday morning.
Mr. Bittick had been ill since last
November. He was almost 80 years
old. He farmed near Geary until
his retirement 10 years ago.

     Funeral services were conducted
Wednesday afternoon at the Church
of Christ with Rev. Cate officiating.

                         Obituary
     John D. Bittick was born in St.
Joseph, Missouri, July 18, 1854 and
died March 13, 1934.

     He united with the Church of 
Christ in his youth and continued a
member through life.

     He was united in marriage to
Elizabeth Quigley, May 23, 1880 at
Easton, Mo.

     To this union were born six chil-
dren, four boys, William Edward,
Oscar, Eugene and Grover. 
Two girls Delia and Mary. Four of 
these survive.

     The family moved to Oklahoma
July 5, 1900 and settled west of Geary
which since has been their home.

     His wife preceded him in death,
January 5, 1924.

     He has made his home with his 
daughter Delia ever since.

     He leaves to mourn his loss one
step-son, Alonza Duel of St. Joseph,
Mo., Grover Bittick, St. Joseph, Mo.,
Mrs. Jess White of Geary, and Delia 
Bittick of Geary. Five grandchil-
dren and a host of other relatives
and friends.
