All Men By These Presents:
That we, John Bittick and John Smith of the County of Obion, and State of
Tennessee, are held and firmly bound to the State of Tennessee in the sum of
Twelve Hundred and Fifty Dollars, to which payment, well and truly to be made,
we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, and each and every
one of us, jointly and severally by these presents.

The Condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the above bounden
John Bittick has this day prayed and obtained a license to marry Mary Gillam now
if there is no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage, and for which license is
desired, then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and
virtue in law.
