1 Mar 1865, J. Bittock, Private, Co. C, 21 & 22 Regiments (Consolidated) Tennessee Cavalry/2 & 21 Regiment Tennessee Cavalry, appears on a Roll of deserters and absentees without leave from the 2d and 21st Regiments Tennessee Cavalry for March 1, 1865. Residence, Obion Co, Tennessee; supposed to be in Obion Co, Tennessee. Absent without leave, wounded. [J. Bittick, Item 2: bittock_j_page2_item2]

[Note: This is probably John Eleck Bittick, but could also be John Holland Bittick. Both lived in Obion Co, Tennessee before and after the war. Both were in 22 Regiment (Barteau's) Tennessee Cavalry/2nd Regiment Tennessee Cavalry. John Eleck Bittick was a Private in 1864; John Holland Bittick was a 2nd Lieutenant in 1864. Based on rank, it seems more likely that J. Bittick/Bittock was John Eleck Bittick. However, neither of their other military records extend to 1865.]
