Notes for J. T. Bittick

J. T. may be Houston 'General' Lafayette Bittick. We can't prove it but we think Houston 'General' Lafayette Bittick is the son of Isaac Newton and Susana Jane Morris. The Morris family carried the Lafayette name in their family - using it for male and female members. And, the nickname, 'General' is also common is their family. So, it looks like Houston must be their son - probably J.T. in the 1860 census which is only initials and some are really hard to figure out. In 1870 General Bittick is with his grandmother.
