Notes for Mary A. Lavancy Yarberry

See Photos for two photographs of Mary.
******
Had 1 child (Laura) with John Bittick and 6 with Eli Davis. Was Mary born in 1842 or 1843? Death Certificates states 1843 but some researchers state 1842. Is her middle name Lavaney or Lavancy. The Renfro researchers say Lavancy. Others state Lavinia.

The family of Mary Lavency Yarberry-Davis was given by her granddaughter, Katie Hardy-Carson of 418 N. Maxwell, Tulia, TX. A grandson of Mary Yarberry-Davis, Morris Lee Davis and several families of her brother, Joseph Abner Yarberry, lived in Ajo, Arizona. Neither of the families knew they were cousins until Katie, tracing the Arkansas family bible information found a copy by mail in Ajo, AZ and told they Yarberrys and Davises they were cousins. Compiled & Printed by Betty Ruth Yarberry Crawford. 1997, page 7]

In a sworn affidavit, 27 Nov 1862, she states that her name is Mary R. Bittick, widow of John W. Bittick. [see Other Documents: Military Records, John Washington Bittick, Item 6]
