I am looking for information on Newton Alexander Caruthers, who married a Sinia Mae Smith about 1910 in Belzoni, OK, Chocta Co. They had my grandmother in 1910, Roxie Mayoma Caruthers. Newton went by the name of Zander. Sinia left Newton when he farmed out Roxie for a piece of land when she was 10 yrs old, there around Belzoni, Ok. Sinia went to live with the family Roxie was living with and Newton wasn't heard from for a long time. He was last said to be living in Monroe, LA.
