George's date of birth is before his parents marriage. Based on the 1880 census - I believe he was likely born 1850 not 1849. No death record has been located for George. The headstone appears to have been placed many years after Sarah and George's death and could be incorrect. Sarah's birth date is also in question. The 1880 census puts her birth year the same as George's - about 1850. If she's the Elizabeth Cox in 1860 and 1870 census of Ouachita Co, Arkansas - then her year of birth is closer to 1854-55.
