Permit, Jan 22, 1806, Thomas McLaughlin, 908 arpents, Bellevue, Ste. Genevieve, Same, 1804, 05, 06 (poss. and imp. 1803. Granted 640 acres.

Thomas McLaughlin, along with John R. and James L. McLaughlin, (as well as Moses Austin et al) signed a peitition June 25th 1805, District of Ste. Genevieve, requesting the appointment of a sheriff.

Thomas McLaughlin, James and John R. McLaughlin and John, Benjami and Walter Crow signed a petition to the Governor, James Wilkinson of the Territory of Louisiana, on June 26th 1805 requesting the appointment of Moses Austin, Esq., "at present the Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas and Quarter Sessions for this District (Ste.
