Notes for Joseph Pride Burleson
Burleson information from the family charts of Lynn Mauldin.
Enlisted in Company C, Capt. Jesse Billingsley's Co of the 1st Regiment of Infantry of the Texas Army on 28 February 1836. Present at the Battle of San Jacinto and saw General Santa Ana delivered to General Sam Houston. In 1862 he was a private in Capt. James M. Brown's Company B, 2nd Military District, Lampasas County.
