According to Ruby and Betty Bittick - "Eliza moved to Arizona to be near her son, Albert. She married a second time to John Hall in Arizona. He was shot off a horse near Black Mountain."

Unfortunately, no dates or places are mentioned but she was still in California in 1880. Joseph second married in November 1889. Albert C. Bittick, Jr. relocated to Arizona in about 1894. Eliza must have joined her son shortly after that time.

Della Bittick Smith says - "(Al's) mama, Eliza Summers, was a nurse and her brother was one of the pioneer doctors here in San Quakeen (San Joaquin) Valley in the early days. Their dad was a doctor in Missouri and mother was a nurse. They called grandmother's brother, 'Doc Summers'."
[Della (Bittick) Smith 22 Aug 1988]

Betty Bittick Neal says - "Eliza had light brown hair and large blue eyes."

Della Bittick Smith also says that late in life both Joseph and Eliza lived with Al in Arizona and they fought like cats and dogs. She'd try to hit him with her cane. [This must have been before 1905 since Joseph died that year.]

No death certificate found for Eliza Summers Bittick Hall in Arizona.

According to letters from her grandchildren - Al C. Bittick, Ruby Bittick Smith, Della Bittick Smith and Betty Bittick Neal - "she is buried in the Bittick Cemetery in Dudleyville, Pinal County, Arizona with a saguaro cactus as a grave marker." [note: her grave is now marked with wooden marker]
