Attended Coronel Institute in San Marcos, Hays Co, Texas but is not listed in their surviving records.

Member of Christian Church. In Fist Christian, Temple (Bell) TX she taught a sign language Sunday School class for "deaf and dumb." In Taylor (Williamson) she also taught SS.

She was the person most responsible for rearing her family since Thomas was away from home for long periods. She helped with the family income by teaching piano, raising chickens, selling eggs, and with her "fancy work" for which she won many prize ribbons at the fairs at the Cotton Palace in Waco TX. She was an excellent story teller and her grandchildren learned family stories from her telling. Was a member of Eastern Star.
