Mrs. Lorance, 82, Dies; Rites Set Thursday at Potosi
Mrs. Ellen Lorance, 82, of 1386 Oak, died of a heart attack at 10 p.m. Tuesday in her home.
Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Potosi Baptist Church with the Rev. Mack Richardson, retired Baptist pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Potosi Cemetery with Elliott’s Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Homer Bittick, Gene Bittick, R.B. Bittick, Bill Forest, Johnny Ford, Preston Doan, and Teddy Doan.
Mrs. Lorance was born April 6, 1876, in Williamson County. She was married June 7, 1908, to John Lorance in Abilene. He died in 1947 [1941].
She and her husband moved to Merkel where they lived for nine years prior to moving to Potosi. Mrs. Lorance moved to Abilene after the death of her husband.
Survivors include several nephews and nieces.

Lorance Funeral Today at Potosi
Funeral for Mrs. Ellen Lorance, 82, of 1386 Oak St., will be held today at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Potosi Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lorance died of a heart attack at 10 p.m. Tuesday in her home.
The Rev. Mack Richardson, retired Baptist pastor, will officiate at the funeral. Burial will be in the Potosi Cemetery with Elliott;s Funeral Home in charge.
