Note from R.B. Bittick about 20 yrs. ago, is as follows:
William Harvey Bitick (Bill)
William Harvey was born in Williamson Co. Texas. He received a fourth grade education. When he was older he became a bartender in Round Rock, Texas for a time, but was not satisfied with this profession, so he left Round Rock and went to Huntsville, Texas where he became a guard at the state prison in the late 1880s. He worked there until sometime in the early 1900s and moved with his parents to Taylor Co. Texas. There he met and married Ettie Mae Revel, whose father was Johnny Revel. At this time Bill, as he was called, was a farmer. Four of the children were born in Taylor Co. Then in August of 1914 he purchased a farm in Haskell Co. Texas and moved his family there by wagon. This farm was located in the vicinity of Rochester, Texas. There the youngest child was born in 1916. Bill passed away 8 Mar. 1935 in Rochester from a heart attack.
(Note from Dwight - The child born in 1916 would have been Mona Mae Bittick who died two years later. Ref. Rochester Community History, Haskell County.)
