Albert Bittick Suddenly Dies Thursday Evening After Illness Only Hour
Services Held This Afternoon at 4:30 o'clock From Late Home
Albert Bittick passed away at his home on Culpepper street Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, after being ill only one hour. Shortly after lunch he was taken with an acute pain in the stomach and almost before medical aid could be summoned he had passed away.
Mr. Bittick had lived in Yoakum for the past 13 years and was well and favorably known. He was born and reared in Williamson county, Texas, and it was there that he reared his family of three sons. He retired as a farmer shortly before moving to Yoakum and has lived in retirement since his arrival here. He was 68 years, one month and 13 days of age. He was a lifelong member and worked__ in the Methodist Church and reared his family in that faith.
Funeral services were held from his late home this afternoon at 4:30 by Rev. S. C. Dunn, pastor of the Yoakum Methodist Church and burial was made in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, three sons, A. A. Bittick of Harlingen, W. C. Bittick of Yoakum and M. V. Bittick of Kenedy. Also survived by one sister, Mrs. J. W. Hayes of Center, Texas, and eight grandchildren.
