Letter from William H. Biddix to his sister, Nancy Jane Biddix Edwards read in part:
Nancy and Bud Edwards
Lacomb, OR
Glen Ayre, NC
17 Feb. 1908
Dear Sister and brother-in-law,
I received your letter and was glad to hear from you and to hear you was all well. This leaves us all well. Truly hoping this letter will come safe to hand and find you the same.
John Biddix is dead. He died the 24th day of Dec. 1907.
[letter continues... but does not mention anything more about John's death]
So, I will close for this time, hoping to hear from you soon.

John is probably buried in Major-Green Cemetery but no headstone has been found. His wife, Jane, is buried there along with some of their children.
