Susan Safronia Biddix had three children, David Haywood Biddix being the youngest of the three. No record of their father has been located. About 1894, at the of approximately eighteen years of , David Haywood Biddix went to work for the Southern Railway. This was the only job he ever held, he retired in 1941 with 44 years of service.
