I did a walk through this evening of the cemetery on Green Creek (North Mitchell County). I found early family members of Buchanan, Biddix, Hughes (spelled Hughs), Green Edwards and Burleson. The cemetery is a far cry from Grassy Creek Township and is located in the Glen Ayre Community of Mitchell County on Little Rock Creek. I grew up on Big Rock Creek. smile. Cemetery is directly under the Roan Mountain. Tennessee line is within five miles, crossing at Carver's Gap. Name of the cemetery is Major-Green Cemetery. Named after the Green/Greene family.]
