Notes for Minnie May Barnes

Minnie was lacking 5 days of being 19 years old when she married Dave Hall, who was 29 years old. Dave was also Minnie's cousin.
Minnie was small and petite, probably just under 100 lbs. She was all sunshine, full of fun and laughter, quick and light on her feet. She loved to dance. Tap-dance, square, waltz or polka, she was master of them all. Many years later Fred Bean said of her, "Dave Hall did not know what happiness he was getting when he brought her from North Carolina. Minnie and her sister-in-law Fannie got along fine, as did they husbands (brothers) Dave & Merriman Hall. Minnie was known to her grandchildren as "Little Grandma".

Fred F., son, w m, 20, single, born in North Carolina, Parents born in NC, - Farmer, farm hand, can read & write;
Nora, daughter, w f, 17, single, born in Colorado, Parents born in NC, - none, can read & write, attending school;
Ethel, daughter, w f, 13, single, born in Colorado, Parents born in NC, - none, can read & write, attending school.
Buried in Lakeside Cemetery, Canon City, Fremont Co, Colorado. Section 00N, Block 012, Lot 002. Minnie M. Hall, b: Jan. 6, 1870 - d: Feb. 17, 1961.
