Rue of Festus, County of Jefferson and State of Missouri, who is over the age of twenty-one years; and Miss Laura E. Davis of Victoria, in the County of Jefferson and State of Missouri, who is over the age of eighteen years. Witness my hand as Recorder, with the seal of office affixed, at my office in Hillsboro this 14th day of July 1897.

Wilkerson of Festus County of Jefferson and State of Missouri do solemly swear that I am of the age of 40 years, and that the said Laura Wilkerson is of the age of 33 years, and that we are both single and unmarried, and may lawfully contract and be joined in marriage.
