Obituary
Newspaper unknown - probably Pacifica, Missouri no date/page:
Thomas W. Bittick
Born in Jefferson County, Missouri in 1850, Thomas W. Bittick departed this life January 28, 1928. He was 77 years old and had been in failing health for some time. Uncle Tom had made his home in the Mt. Hope community for the past two years. Just before Christmas he left home and made a trip west, on his return he took ill and was later taken to the home of his niece, Mrs L. F. Lee, who is residing in the R. C. Murphy home in St. Clair.

All was done that physician, loved ones and friends could do, but the end had come. He was the last of a family of eight. Two of his brothers were Ministers. Before his death he requested that a minister visit him. Rev. Short and Rev. Ware paid him visits and Prayer was made to his comfort.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ware from Mt. Zion Baptist Church where interment followed January 29. The deceased left no immediate family but was survived by nephews and nieces, among who is C. H. Ramey and Mrs. L. F. Lee.

Note: C. H. Ramey is Cornelius H. the son of William Ramey and Jane Anis Bittick.
Mrs. L .F. Lee is Lucinda Frances 'Fannie' [Williams] Lee, widow of James F/T. Lee.
[Received from Betty Harmon Nov 1990 who had received it from her Aunt Winnie Lee. A note along the edge of the obituary reads: This is our Mothers [Jane Annis] brother. I will tell you all about it when I see you.]

Buried: 29 January 1928, Mt. Zion Cemetery, Franklin Co, Missouri
