Civil War, Union Army [1910 census]; Robert F. Beesley is listed in the 1890 Missouri Veterans Index as being from Cass Township, Douglas Co, MO. He was a private in the 48th Missouri Infantry, Company E [Co D & F]. Robert was in the Infantry from October 1864 until April 1865. At the time of his discharge he had deafness in the right ear and blindness in the right eye with bronchial disease. [according to one family tree online at genealogy.com. Mary Bittick Gallano has gedcom of the family tree Jan 2004.]
