Notes for Amanda Smith

Census 1: 1830, BonHomme, St Louis Co, MO p317
Census 2: 1840, BonHomme, St Louis Co, MO is this her?

October 01, 1839, heir, St Louis Co, MO [George Smith, Will]
******
Will of George Smith, deceased, dated 1 Oct 1839 .....to AMANDA SMITH's children, which she had by HENRY VOTAW, I will and bequeath one hundred dollars.
Does this mean Amanda is deceased? Or, does it mean she has remarried after Henry Votaw died?
Did Amanda Smith Votaw 2nd marry Samuel Smith? In 1850 St Louis Co there are 3 Amanda Smith's: Ward C, p542 - claims to be b. 1820; Ward 6, p402 - need to check; Ward 2, p238 -
need to check. There are 6 Samuel's: Saml F. Ward 4, p115; Samuel P. Ward 2, p248; 2 in Ward C, p538; Ward C, p542; Ward 3, p348 #823 - Samuel Smith age 38, carpenter, b.VA appears to be living in a boarding house; Ward 4, p026. The only household with both an Amanda + Samuel is Ward C, p542 - this is the Amanda who claims to be born 1820. Either Amanda did not 2nd marry Samuel Smith or, they have moved or died by 1850. In William Smiths bio, there is no mention of Amanda, his sister, ca 1880. Need to follow William or Philip Votaw's line thru and locate a descedant who may have information.
