Notes for Catherine 'Kate' Null

This is speculation - but, it seems to work. No idea on what happened to Simeon after 1830, but it looks like he died around 1840 - prior to the census. Catherine was probably pregnant with Matilda when he died. I think she must have farmed the kids out to Null relatives at the time of the 1840 Census in Jefferson Co since she is enumerated alone which is odd.
By 1850 Priscilla has married William Johnston and Catherine and Matilda are living with them in Jefferson Co. The unknown daughter born c1829 may have died or married by 1850.
In 1860 Catherine is back in Meremac Township, St Louis Co with son Marion and his wife, Mary Jane Shoults (dau of Christopher & Artimesa Smith Shoults). Matilda Bittick Young is on same census page as Catherine with her husband, Julius Young, they married on 23 June 1860 in St Louis. Priscilla Bittick Johnston and husband, William, are in Maries Co, Missouri in 1870.
In 1870 she is still in Meremac Township, St Louis and her daughter, Matilda, is living with her. Matilda appears to be widowed with 2 children. Marion died in 1862 and his wife, Mary, 2nd married James L. Davis in 1865.
